Seminars and Webinars
Our estate planning webinars and seminars offer the opportunity for you to get to know our firm and to learn more about the process of developing or updating your estate plan before discussing your particular needs and desires. We find that this allows people to feel more at ease with us during later consultations, enhancing our ability to customize an estate plan that suits you.
Barbara M. Pizzolato, P.A. is dedicated to helping families of Southwest Florida build the best estate plan for them. However, people are often hesitant to discuss such sensitive subjects as family dynamic, financial situation, and troubled children with someone they have just met.
Attorney Barbara M. Pizzolato speaks on a variety of estate planning and trust administration topics during our free webinars and seminars. Take a look at the list below and claim your seat to learn more about how you can create a more secure future for your family by developing a customized estate plan with us.

TOPICS DISCUSSED AT OUR ESTATE PLANNING WEBINAR
Once you have passed, your loved ones are left with all you acquired: your wealth, your estate, your legacy. To ensure that your assets go to your loved ones as you wish, it is vital you have the proper estate plan. This webinar provides general estate-planning information and discusses several options you may wish to include in a new plan or in updates to a current plan, including:
• The advantages and disadvantages of Wills and Living Trusts
• Maintaining your privacy and how you may protect your estate against a living probate
if you become disabled (Hint: Not all Powers of Attorney are valid!)
• Planning before you need Long Term Care
• Why putting property in children’s names may be a mistake
• How you may protect your children’s inheritance from their future ex-spouses, lawsuits, and other claims
• How you may protect your estate for your kids if your surviving spouse gets remarried
• How Probate works and more importantly, how you may avoid Probate altogether!
• Providing for special needs (disabled) children, grandchildren, and your pets
The webinar closes with a detailed overview of our firm’s process and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Finally, at the conclusion of the webinar you may arrange for an initial consultation with Ms. Pizzolato to discuss your specific estate planning, if you would like.

SUCCESSOR TRUSTEE SEMINAR
When you are no longer able to serve as Trustee of your trust, the administration and management of your trust falls to your Successor Trustee. While you selected your Successor Trustee(s) because you had faith in their ability to handle your trust affairs, most Successor Trustees have never acted as a Trustee before and have no idea how to manage your trust. Additionally, they may believe that your trust automatically administers itself! This seminar provides a crash course on how to successfully act as a Successor Trustee and includes:
- an overview of important estate-planning terms;
- a list of Successor Trustee “Do’s” and “Don’ts”; and
- checklists and guidelines for various stages of trust administration.
Through the course of the seminar, your Successor Trustee will gain a better understanding of what to expect and what needs to be done. The seminar closes with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Please note that the Successor Trustee Seminar is only available to clients who are currently enrolled in our Estate Plan Maintenance Program.
To accommodate everyone, we offer several seminars each month at various locations across Southwest Florida. All locations have free parking and provide refreshments. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign in. The rooms may be a bit chilly, so please bring a light jacket or sweater. Seating may be limited.
Please note that reservations are REQUIRED to attend a seminar. To reserve your seat at the seminar, please fill out the registration form below or call 239-225-7987.
